Spirit of the Tree

The Tree hungers.

It requires an offering. Otherwise it'll wither, your own life along with it.
The only offering it will accept is a living beating heart.

Incidentally, there is a living heart half-buried in a stone block deeper into the dungeon.
All you need to do is bring the stone back to the tree for consumption.
However, the monsters dwelling in the dungeon won't make that task an easy one.
