0.6.29 Update: Graphical Update
This took slightly longer than I anticipated, but oh well. A Sunday dev is a Sunday dev.
In this update I mainly focused on the visual side of things, such as adding various shaders, blending and effects. But I also fixed a couple of nastier bugs!
List of changes:
1. Added screenshake on hard-hitting spells.
Personally I like the new effect, but I'm also planning to add a slider in menu in case it ends up being too shakey. Do let me know!
2. Added a couple of greenery decors here and there.
Some vines, some animated grass / moss. Made shrubs blend better as well!
3. Finally fixed the stairs issue, oh I finally did. Basically I made auto-jump.
It was quite an ordeal, because the main bulk of collision code is around 6 years old. But in the end, now you don't have to spam 'Space' to cross stairs. Yay! I also fixed some minor bugs with getting stuck in tiles (hopefully).
4. Added animated dust and mist effects for the first level.
5. Changed mansion (home) BG somewhat. Old vs new.
Basically added some furniture. I wanted to do more, but decided this much is enough for now. Changed the GUI as well.
6. Added falling and jumping buttons.
Why? Because I can.
7. New shader effect while entering battle...
...is what I wanted to say, but it took a bit too long and it's still not even half done, so I'm postponing it until later (I disabled it in-game). But here are some funny WIP gifs.
